Hi there! My name is Colby, and I’m the proud owner of Pacific Fix-It, serving the beautiful communities of Carlsbad, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, and beyond. My journey into handyman work started long before I officially launched this business – it began as a kid, learning the value of hard work and tangible skills from my dad.

My dad was a skilled cabinet maker and a passionate DIYer. Growing up, our weekends weren’t spent in front of the TV – they were spent in the garage, working on the latest project. Whether it was building custom cabinets, fixing household issues, or building a garage from the ground up, he had a knack for turning raw materials into something beautiful and functional. Watching him work instilled in me not only a deep appreciation for craftsmanship but also the belief that with the right tools and mindset, almost any problem could be solved.

As I got older, I became his assistant. I graduated from holding the flashlight to learning to measure twice and cut once, the importance of precision, and the satisfaction of a job well done. Those early experiences laid the foundation for my hands-on approach and attention to detail in every project I take on today.

Over the years, I’ve expanded my skill set, tackling everything from plumbing fixes and drywall repairs to light electrical work and painting. I have completely remodeled a home before renting it on Airbnb, and I have also built two custom campervans that my wife and I lived out of full-time. No matter the task, my goal remains the same: to deliver reliable, skilled, and affordable services that make my clients’ lives easier and their homes better.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying time with my family, playing a round of golf, or tinkering with my own home improvement projects. I believe in bringing the same care and dedication to my clients’ homes as I would to my own.
